The Miracle Noodle angel hair style shirataki (konjac) noodles are perfect for making Korean japchae.
INGREDIENTS
1 package Miracle Noodle angel hair
2 cups vegetables (such as onion, cabbage, bell pepper, carrot, broccoli, spinach), chopped into strips or pieces
vegetable oil
2 green onions, sliced
3 garlic cloves, minced
3-4 tbsp NIKIGO Original Soy Free Sauce
2 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp perilla oil* (optional)
* perilla oil has a sesame-like flavor but is unrelated to sesame. It is common in Korean cuisine
DIRECTIONS
In a large sauté pan on medium high, add a tbsp of vegetable oil, add the vegetables and cook until soft. Turn the temperature down to low.
Mix the sauce ingredients (NIKIGO Original, sugar and perilla oil) together in a measuring cup.
Prepare the Miracle Noodle angel hair according to the package instructions. Drain.
Add the noodles, garlic, green onion and sauce to the vegetables. Stir until the sauce has mostly dissipated, around 2-4 minutes.
Serve hot, cold or at room temperature as a main or side dish. Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
