Teri-Beef Sandwiches

Serves 4

A childhood favorite from Hawaii, typically made with thinly sliced beef and marinated for a few hours.  This recipe utilizes the easier-for-me-to-find shaved beef popular in Philly cheesesteaks, which cooks faster and needs no marination time.

INGREDIENTS:

1 lb shaved beef

⅓-½ cup NIKIGO Hawaiian-Style Teriyaki Sauce

1 tbsp oil of your choice

¼ sweet onion, thinly sliced

Sandwich bun of your choice

DIRECTIONS:

In a bowl combine the meat, NIKIGO Hawaiian-Style Teriyaki Sauce, and oil, mix together well.  In a large skillet or wok, heated to medium, add the meat and sauce mixture.  Cook 5-10 minutes until desired level of doneness is reached.  Allow for some caramelization but be careful not to burn.  Add to bun and top with sliced onion.  Tastes ono! (as my Hawaii family would say!)

The sandwich in the photo was made using a lovely bagel from The Greater Knead, free of the top 9 allergens.
